Mac's Mud Speckled Buff 10kgs

Speckled Buff will be available by the end of March. A superb buff coloured clay, with a white/grey/black speckle (fine-medium grog). Most suitable for handbuilding and sculptural applications, but with the grog being fine enough that throwing on the wheel is still possible. Made from 100% New Zealand clay.

Best applications: Handbuilding and sculptural work. Grog content allows for throwing.

• Mesh: #60 with #20 grog
• Bisque: 1000 degrees Celsius
• Glaze: 1050 - 1280 degrees Celsius
• Shrinkage: 6% wet to dry, 10% at 1150, 12% at 1180, 13% at 1220, 14% at 1280
• Water Absorption: 5% at 1150, 4% at 1180, 4% at 1220, <1% at 1280
